FanHouse has learned that Bush has been scheduled to be deposed in San Diego on Friday, April 23, in the civil suit filed by Lloyd Lake. Additionally, Lake and former business partner Michael Michaels, who settled out of court with Bush three years ago for a reported $300,000, have also been scheduled to be deposed in San Diego that same week.
The three depositions could be taken into account by the NCAA, which met with University of Southern California officials over three days in February.
The hearing with the NCAA's committee on infractions ended with little indication of what is ahead for the Trojans' football and men's basketball teams. The NCAA is expected to soon rule on USC's case.

Lake's deposition has been scheduled over two days, April 19-20, while Michaels' deposition is scheduled for April 21.
Michaels was initially scheduled to be deposed on March 5 in San Diego. But Lake's attorney, Brian Watkins, said it was postponed because an appeals court document permitting the oft-delayed proceeding to move forward would not arrive in time.
Lake is seeking to recoup some $291,000 in cash and gifts the star running back and his family allegedly accepted from Lake and Michaels while Bush was at USC during the 2004 and 2005 seasons.
Lake claims he gave Bush, the 2005 Heisman Trophy winner, cash to buy a car and that Michaels allowed Bush's parents to live rent-free in a San Diego-area home. Lake and Michaels were trying to attract Bush as a client for their marketing firm, New Era.
Bush has denied the accusations.
Watkins has maintained that the "truth will come out" in these highly anticipated depositions.
On Dec. 28, 2009 it was announced that Bush had lost his bid for confidential arbitration in this matter and that the case would proceed to trial. Sworn statements would become public record and could be used by the NCAA to conclude its investigation of USC.
Bush helped the New Orleans Saints win their first Super Bowl in franchise history with a 31-17 win over the Indianapolis Colts in February.

I'm surprized that Reggie can take time away from all the clubbing and drinking. What with the sex tape of Reggie and Kim floating around the internet being watched by thousands of people every day, we can all wonder what does Reggie do with his time? Any community events(no, there would be media asking those pesky questions), how about YMCA visits? No couldn't do that, not much of a role model for young boys, so it looks like if you are a football player for a high dollar college team, the day comes when you have to fess up for all those "gifts" you received with no questions asked (wink, wink Reggie), time to pay the bill. Now you are an idol to thousands of fans; tomorrow? Well, ask the likes of Donte Stallworth, Rae Carruth, Burris, Vick et.al, who all took things for granted and did not project an image for all young men waiting for a chance to play. Remember: Cameras are everywhere. It's not like you can't pay the money back, why do you even contest it?
Jan please shut up; you sound very bitter about rich black athletes; look at the list of athletes you've named thus far...Why don't you bring up the Caucasian athletes that like beating up their wives & girlfriends you bitter white woman. While you're at it, why don't YOU go to the YWCA & be role model for young girls before you suggest that someone else should.
What an idiot. You DO realize it wasn't Reggie Bush in that video with Kim K, don't you, Dumba__? You should close your ignorant mouth and stop that diahrea flow from spreading.
The NCAA is a balless paper front. These blatant rules violations happened 5 to 7 years ago, and the NCAA has done nothing.
The violations were plastered across the news during the week of the Heisman trophy ceremonies, but the NCAA stuck its head in the sand.
These sponsors went so far as to openly pay for Bush's family's clothes, transportation, hotel, meals, etc., to attend the cerimony in NYC. That is when the news of the two years of free rent for an expensive house went national.
The car purchase was rumored, but not highlighted so much at the time.
So, 5 years after the fact, the NCAA is waiting to use files from a civil lawsuit, and someone else's work to do its job of investigating the violations.
What a crock!
In the end, the NCAA will sanction USC, but let Bush off scott free. He ought to lose the Heisman, his draft elegibilty of 2005, and his multi-$M contract.
He had achieved all of his accomplishments and won the honors while breaking most of the rules in the book.
A comparison to Bernie Madoff is not a stretch.
Be careful, Tom, or people will be accusing you of being a racist! Because anytime someone black does something wrong and people call them out on it, they are then called a racist.
I expect someone to get paid off before these depositions take place.
Another MORON botes the dust!! After all of the idiots who have been caught w/ their hands in the cookie jar, you think that they might have learned by now, and hes dating that no talent slut to boot. His life is going downhill.
damn man you need a life, young, good looking, rich, superbowl ring jealous much? lol
Everyone makes mistakes even when the wolves throw money at you and your family so they can make millions sitting on their fat buts. As for all of you who have negative comments and have the fixed angel halo over your heads because you have never done anything wrong, GET OVER IT AND STOP HATING! Superbowl Champs, Game over! WHOO DATT!
All these negative comments because a marketing firm that thought they could pay to make even more money wants their money back? Reggie bush is a great player because he accepted gifts AS EVERY GREAT NCAA PLAYER DOES doesn't take that away from him.
WHY shouldn't these athletes get gifts while in college do you know how much money the NCAA is making off these kids??? And the marketing firm that wanted Reggie they would have made the money they spent on him back 30 fold had he signed with them and not another firm so sorry your game didn't work this time.
Reggie pay the 300+ thousand back they want that will never be missed by the amount of money you make and move on...GREAT TALENT THAT DID NOTHING WRONG!!!!!!!!!
Is there anything wrong with him or his mother having benefits? With his physical gifts and ability to play football, he has earned the university millions of dollars to pay Pete Carroll, Lane Kiffin, and all other USC athletic ventures... Bush has asked for nothing in return. I am sure, in the two years that bush started for USC (2 national championships), that the school has made more money in sales, advertisement, and national exposure than Reggie will ever make during his entire football career. I find it just that his mother lived rent-free and he was given a car because his talents are certainly getting milked and manipulated somewhere else, "supposedly legal". PLayers who give schools and organizations should get some kind of break, they should benefit. Reggie Bush was not awarded a college degree (he left early), Reggie Bush is from rough streets in LA, so if his mother is having a hard time keeping her son safe, if his mother is having a hard time providing for her family, why should these colleges, sponsors and corporations make money hands over fingers? Leave all these athletes alone. If a college chooses to give an athletes family a home in exchange for him playing there, its all fair to me- everyone is just trying to buy them anyways.
For the most part I really don't have a lot of use for the NCAA and most of it's asinine rules. However... some rules are there to protect the game(S). If you let booster, agents and rich fans pay for athletes then the game would be lost because the integrity of it would go down the toilet... There would be no parity either... It is one thing to say pay the players because the schools POTENTIALLY can make a lot of $$ off of them and the players deserve it and it is another thing entirely to "gift" them hundreds of thousands of dollars... Where does it end? Are you going to pay the players on a sliding scale? The better you are the more you get? If you suck sorry heres some pocket change... The rules are there for a reason... if a player and/or a school breaks them then they should be punished accordingly...
Why do you think Pete left USC for Seattle? The NCAA has always played favorites with money drawing schools... Now that they are faced with real proof and so many incidents they are FINALLY going to do something to USC... though I doubt they get more than a slap on the wrist... typical...
Reggie Bush along with several other athletes got away with cheating. And I suspect along with several other D-1 and N.F.L. players he's getting away with using HGH to enhance his performasnce. It is a sad testament to ALL Americans that we've put the end result of supposed success by any means to the principles of true competition " it's not whether you win or lose it's how you play the game". Reggies accolades in this life will be burned up in the fire by God in the next life. Reggie, just come clean and tell the truth...we've ALL sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Come clean and start fresh...God will forgive you and give you a whole new lease on life. Be a TRUE competitior and in the end you will be a better man.
he did it, why do you think carrol left USC??? but bush is black, so what do you expect!!! college football is no different than the bs that goes on in pro ball...enough said...
what money hungry bastards..... i like the fact that they "gambled" abd "lost" and now want their money back....ha ha ha....300,000 thats it... hes allready payed that back......i guess if the well is full keep giong for water right....untill the bottom of the bucket drops out......
