Climate
The climate is temperate without extreme heat in summer or cold in winter (the average yearly temperature is + 16° C winter temperatures range from +10° C to -2° C very occasionally touching -6° C; spring temperatures from +12°C to +24° C ; summer temperature ranges from +20° C to +30° C , seldom reaching peaks of +35° C ; autumn temperatures range from +20° C to +10° C).
Currency
Euro is normally used. After a 34-year interval, in 1972 San Marino once more began coining her own currency and has minted various coins in San Marino lira which are very much in demand as collectors’ pieces. From 1974 onwards, gold coins have also been minted as legal tender within the territorial boundaries.

There are no frontier formalities. Anyone visiting Italy with a visa can enter San Marino.
