Taking into account the council’s total 99 seats, the political composition of Leeds City Council is now as follows: Labour 43, Liberal Democrat 24, Conservative 22, Morley Borough Independent 5, Green Party 3, Independent 1, BNP 1.
Voter turnout was approximately 35.76%, as compared to 37.52% in 2007.
