MANILA, Philippines—Human Rights Chairwoman Leila De Lima said Thursday the punishment for those responsible for the glitches that imperil the May 10 elections should come later.

“We can discuss these later at a more opportune time,” De Lima said in forum.

At this point, De Lima said, everybody should work toward seeing to it that that the election paraphernalia would be in place on Election Day.

“There is need to throw full support in the efforts of Comelec to ensure that election paraphernalia are in place,” she said. “This is a race we cannot afford to lose,” she added.
