Forum Activity:
I'm a veteran of the old GI forums. I first joined the forums on December 9th, 2006, but didn't start to seriously post until around October in 2007. I had around 4000 posts under my belt before the site relaunched. I was also the winner of the 2008 Great Game Informer Ban Off (good times, if you weren't there you wouldn't get it). It was there that I earned the custom rank "Grand Champion" which I actually ended up keeping until the site relaunch due to the fact that there wasn't a Ban Off in 2009 for some reason (maybe because of the relaunch?) Anyways, here's my stats from the old site about a week before the site relaunch for those that are interested (click to enlarge).
I became a mod on December 14th, 2009.
About Me:
Not much to say. I'm 22 and I live in Charlotte, NC. I'm pretty introverted unless I'm around people with similar interests, hence why I spend too much time on these forums (as being one of the first 5 members to reach silver rank would suggest).
I've always been single, and will likely remain single until I find a girl who's interested in video games and anime, is also single, and also happens to be looking for a relationship (based on my track record, I think it's almost safe to say "yeah right, like that'll ever happen").
Right now I'm taking some time off from college to save up money and get myself focused again, then I'll return to NC State University to finish my mechanical engineering degree. There's not too much else to say about me.
Quick Reference Notes (just random notes to self but feel free to read if you're so inclined):
Automatic response for "Should I get a 360 or a PS3" threads:
Look at the games and services available exclusively on each console and compare that with your own personal tastes (or in the case of online, what you are or aren't willing to pay for). Get whichever one looks like it will float your boat more.
I think it's much wiser to think about it that way than it is to ask a bunch of random people (many of which are complete fanboys for one side or the other) what you should do.
Each console has their own pros and cons, but in the end you can't go wrong either way, so get the one that appeals the most to your tastes.
Are you the type that likes playing games online with people or do you mostly like the story modes of games? If you're more into the story/campaign mode then it doesn't matter so much what your friends have, but if you're into multiplayer stuff, find out what consoles your friends own and what games they play.
