Retired Faculty Council

FacultyJoin us, renew friendships and stay in touch with Virginia Commonwealth University.

The Retired Faculty Council held its inaugural meeting on Dec. 1, 1993, with 46 charter members. The council provides a means for retired faculty to stay in touch with the university and to remain involved with university affairs. It also serves as a way of gathering and disseminating information of interest to retirees and brings together long-time colleagues for stimulating events.

The group, which is open to all retired faculty members, meets four times a year in October, December, February, and April. Meetings are held on both campuses and include time for conversation and refreshments. Past programs have included building tours, talks with VCU’s president and professors, and cultural events. Please contact Emily Gambill or one of the officers if you have questions concerning the Retired Faculty Council.
