Well, I got my aquarium (10 gallon, Eco-Complete Substrate, Flourish Excel, Aqua-safe, Whisper Power Filter, 18" bubble wall, and a profile 1500 Air pump for the wall with a splitter going the the Safe-Breeder Cage), lots of live plants, and a log of drift wood.
I'm not sure the names of the plants but I have about 20 or so plants. My question is since I have two female and one male Guppy; is my aquarium (10 gallon), breeding appropriate? I have 3 of what look like Chinese Algae eaters...I asked for Oto's so they could be either. Four ghost shrimp (which one may have scattered her eggs/live young already throughout the aquarium. and what seems like plenty of room.
I don't plan on keeping many of the Fry but if there is a male I'd like to keep him and a sufficient number of female for him (2-3 Females). All the rest would be going to my Biology teacher for his 3-50 gallon tanks in class. I sent some pictures of my tank with the safety-Breeder installed. Is there anything missing or what should I do...

EACH
FISH IS AROUND 3 TO 4 INCHES LONG. I USE BLACK SAND AND
LAVA ROCK. I HAVE 3 BREEDING PAIR IN MY TANK WHICH HAVE
GIVEN ME MORE FRY THAN I COULD EVER WANT.

Hi Guys!
Great site! I have
recently "upgraded" my aquarium to tropical from
cold-water and found this site on the 'net. It has
answers to everything I need to know about maintenance
and fish and the like. Easy to browse and full of
useful stuff.
I have included
some pictures of my newly set up aquarium. It is an
gal. tank with water temp. at about 79 deg. F.
I am planning on
getting about 10 Neon Tetra's. And perhaps a shrimp or
two. Will this be good? I have 3 odd fishes in the
tank at the moment, unidentifiable.
Regards
Johann, South
Africa

Hello Johann. Thank you
for sending us the
pictures of your beautiful
aquarium in South Africa.
The three fish in your
pictures are White Clouds,
and they are compatible
with Neon Tetras. Small
shrimp like Ghost Shrimp
are also compatible with
both White Clouds and Neon
Tetras.

Clouds, click

Dropping a Quick
picture of 3 of the 4 Siamese algae eaters I got from
you about 9 months ago which were just little baby ones
when I got them ... Oh and number 4 is still alive just
not in the picture.
Thanks again

Hello Wayne. Thank you for
your email with a picture
of your beautiful planted
aquarium and your Siamese
Algae Eaters. I can't see
a speck of hair algae, so
your SAE probably eat it
all. Thanks again. |
