KRTU is moving radio technology into the 21st century

KRTU iPhone appA new iPhone app, a new website and much, much more.

KRTU continues to embrace the newest, fastest, most modern technological advancements in the name of sharing jazz programming with loyal listeners. We invite you to explore the many ways we are sharing jazz radio with San Antonio and beyond.

Website

This spring, KRTU is proud to unveil a new and improved website. It retains the features you valued in the old site - the program schedule, Listen Live and Playback archive features, secure donation forms - but now also includes show playlists, an updated jazz calendar, live feeds to KRTU's social media, an interactive show schedule and room for expanded website services. We hope you'll like the new look of the site, too.

Log on to krtu.org to explore the new site. In fact, while you are there, click on the "contact us" logo in the upper right hand corner to email us and tell us know what you think.

LISTEN FOR: Specialty Shows

Diane Reeves

The Jazz Voice with Joan Carroll

Saturdays 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Joan is among San Antonio's most popular jazz vocalists. She was one of the first specialty show DJs to join KRTU back in 2003. Her show features vocal jazz from one end of the spectrum to the other and always offers up a surprise or two. A superb jazz vocalist in her own right, Joan's exquisite programming features selections from her large personal library complemented by an insider's sense of taste.

The Haas Party with Markus Haas

Wednesdays 7 p.m. - 10 p.m.

Markus has been a Wednesday night mainstay for almost five years. His show features selections from KRTU's vinyl collection and delivers an engaging mix of styles and musicians. The Hass Party is the place to hear classic and hard to find jazz recordings. Markus has been known to get a little adventurous, especially in his third hour, with selections leaning toward funk, fusion and even some avant-garde.
