If you have "Mad Men" season-4 fever as much as we do, you'll be drooling over the latest cover of LA Times Magazine, which is graced by stunning actress Christina Hendricks.
In a refreshing twist, instead of focusing on her storied to-die-for hourglass figure, the magazine gives us some gorgeous close-ups of the 35-year-old, who plays much-loved office manager Joan Harris on the cult AMC series.
On the cover, a flash of Hendricks's signature red mane is complemented by a crystal-studded Philip Treacy pillbox hat and a chunky green and black statement necklace by Tim Szlyk for House of Lavande, while on the inside pages she wears more lush accessories, including a pink feathered hat by Laura Kranitz and a dazzling bib necklace by Alexis Bittar.
Um, yeah, we basically want to steal it all. And her beauty routine.
In the accompanying article, the actress tells the magazine how she relates to her sexy character.
"I don't think it's not feminist to use every tool you have to succeed, and part of that is being a woman -- presenting yourself in a certain way."
Amen.
Hendricks also recounts going from blonde to redhead at age 10.
As for her quirkier talents, Hendricks says playing the accordion, a skill she picked up around 5 years ago, keeps her busy.
"It is such a rich instrument for one person," she says. "You can get so much out of it, like a one-man band. I also think it's a very romantic instrument, and it channels all the things I love -- French culture, Tom Waits -- and all the things I try to make my house look like."
Now if only we could get some follow-up pictures of that house.
