Avid campaigner for the Breast Cancer Foundation. Lost his sister to cancer in 2008 whilst at the same time his mother was battling breast cancer. She is now in remission. Donates $50 to the Breast Cancer Foundation for every birdie he makes.

When not playing golf likes watching TV, fishing.

Highlights: 2009: After a six week break came back and immediately claimed the OneAsia/European Tour co-sanctioned 2009 Volvo China Open at the Beijing CBD International Golf Club in April. Shot a closing 68 for an eight-under 280 total and a one-stroke victory in the US$2.2 million event. Earned an immediate start into the elite 16-man field for the Volvo World Match Play Championship to be held later in the year in Spain. Won the inagural OneAsia Tour OOM after finishing T2 behind Adam Scott at the final event the Australian PGA Championship presented by Coca-Cola.

2008: Played four events on Australasian Tour with two top ten finishes including T2 at the Johnnie Walker Classic and T3 at the Australian PGA Championship. Finished 4th on the Final Order of Merit.

2008: Won his maiden European Tour title in June with a wire to wire performance that saw him claim the Celtic Manor Wales Open by a comfortable four shots...The 31 year old reportedly suffered dizzy spells on Saturday, but it did little to effect his performance as he led from the start of the tournament. He finished with a 22-under 262 total with Swede Robert Karlsson his only serious challenger in the final round, closing with a 64 to finish four shots behind in second place.... After winning the Wales Open he ranked second on an intra-season Tour money list to gain his debut start at THE OPEN Championship at Royal Birkdale in July. Had six other top 20 finishes in his best season to date, finishing 32nd in the Order of Merit.

2007: Finished 37th on Australasian Tour OOM. Also played on European Tour in 2007 finishing 106 on OOM....Results included: T15 MasterCard Masters, T42 Johnnie Walker Classic....T6, 2007 WA PGA Championship.

Finished 106th on 2007 European Tour OOM earning his card for 2008. Best results in Europe were: T10 Dunhill Links, T11 Indonesia Open, T12 Scandinavian Masters, T14 Singapore Masters, T19 Volvo China Open.

A regular on the Asian Tour since 2003 with two career victories.

In 2005 he broke through in a big way at the Myanmar Open, beating title holder Thongchai Jaidee of Thailand in the final round with a closing 67.

Claimed his second title in Asia when he coasted to a five-stroke victory in the 2006 Philippine Open.

Played Von Nida Tour in 2004 with best results including T4 at the Cairns Classic and T6 at the Qld Masters….finished first on the 2004 WA Order of Merit.
