Bleeding Me (Hetfield/Ulrich/Hammett)

Although the song was released for radio airplay (according to Elektra Records) it was never released as a single, but as a promo.

Album:
Load

The song live:
The song was played live for the first time on September 6, 1996 at the first date of the "Poor Touring Me" tour in Vienna, Austria.

The demo:
The song's demo was recorded by James and Lars in Lars' home studio 'Dungeon' on April 7, 1995.

The promo:
Elektra released a promo release of this song in 1997. The promo release contained two tracks - the regular and an edit version of "Bleeding Me".

The subject matter:
Jason explained that to him the song means that it's about a person who is being put through mental torture.

"I'm sowing the seeds I take for granted"
- means he gets what he gives from what he does to other people.

"Caught under wheels roll"
means he can't stop abusing or being abused.

"Feed me a cure"
means that he is asking for help.

So the whole point of the song is "Don't abuse unless you can take the abuse, or don't dish out what you can't take".
