Kathmandu University notice for Four-year Undergraduate Programmes in Engineering, Pharmacy, Biology, Biotechnology, Environmental Science and Media Studies.
PROGRAMS WHO CAN APPLY?
  • B.E. (Electrical & Electronics Engineering)
    Communication
    Power & Control
  • B.E. (Mechanical Engineering)
  • B.E. (Civil Engineering with specialization in Hydropower)
  • B.Tech. (Environmental Engineering)
 ISc., 10+2 or equivalent examinations with

minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM).
  • B.E. (Computer Engineering)
  • B.E. (Geomatics Engineering)
  • B.Sc. (Applied Physics)
 ISc., 10+2 or equivalent examinations with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in PCM or Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science (PMC).
  • B. Pharmacy
  • B.Tech. (Biotechnology)
  • B.Sc. (Environmental Science)
 ISc., 10+2 or equivalent examinations with minimum of 50% in aggregate and 50% in PCM or Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB).
  • B.Sc. (Human Biology)
 ISc, 10+2 or equivalent examinations with minimum of 50% in aggregate and 50% in PCB.
  • * Bachelor in Media Studies
 10+2 or equivalent level in any discipline with at least second division marks.
Applicants with GCSE A level must have minimum of ‘C’ grades in at least three related A level advanced subjects.

Admission Test: Applicants must appear in the admission test conducted by the University on

July 27, 2010, Tuesday.

Interview: Short listed applicants will be called to appear for a personal interview.

Online forms will be available from July 9, 2010 at KU website www.ku.edu.np.

Application can be filled online only, either at intranet at KU Dhulikhel or from KU website except for Media Studies.

* For Media Studies, please contact the concerned Department at Kathmandu University.

Admission Brochure, Sample Question and Scholarship Form are available from July 11, 2010 at Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel with the payment of Rs. 1000/- (non refundable).
Entrance admission card is issued after verification of original certificates from Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel from July11, 2010 to July 26, 2010 ( 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM)

The last date for the submission of completed application form is July 26, 2010.

Students who have passed Class 11 and waiting for the Class 12 results can also apply .

Class Begins from August 12, 2010, Thursday

Limited numbers of scholarships/educational loan are available for meritorious and economically weak students. The application for scholarship, along with the necessary documents, should be submitted with the application form.
