Varun Sardana, an alumnus of NIFT, Delhi, has had two successful showing at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week under her belt. His debut collection gathered rave reviews from critics and designers managed to bag the Best Debut Collection by the Fashion Design Council of India. Varun has been designed from the three years here, he reveals some harsh realities of the Indian fashion industry.

Why fashion as a profession? Since childhood I always saw myself as a creative person. We all have within us a creative person, but just look at this problem. Since the day I was young, I had seen my grandmother do stitches, so that the fabric fibers and is always around me. Somewhere, all this inspired me and besides, I always had this talent in me …. Design philosophy … I confirm that my design philosophy evolved from one season to another. I borrowed my inspiration from anywhere, but always keep in mind that this approach shouldinstalled. I like to design for women who are modern, contemporary and believe in the trial and violated the norms or challenging themselves but without trying to shock the world. First you break … I launched the label in 2004 and started from my debut with a show at the Wills India Fashion Week, I get a critical appreciation. But then for Spring-Summer 2009 collection, I joined hands with Delhi Fashion Week, followed by a shift to WLIFW in AW 2009. Why then switch back to WLIFW? I do not want to comment on that … That is my personal choice and there are some ideology that I follow and believe, so there is no solid answers or reasons behind the fashion industry />Views it.

Designers you admire … Among the national designer, I like Anamika Khanna Arjun Saluja and lots for consistency in their work. Vivien Westwood, Victor & Rolf and I admire is a hidden international. You see the entire episode of catching Vijay Singh … What is the future of Indian Fashion & Design Week? I do not wish to comment on the arrest of Mr. Vijay Singh because it involves some personal problems. So far IFDW future is concerned, from one and a half years, this industrial society is trying to be together and gives one fashion week. But for the next season I can say there will be no one for a brand new edition of Men of India Sunday. And about the confusion whether FDCI FDPC will to power, we must wait until the dust settles down. Which fashion week you plan to display your collection in the upcoming season? I’m still working on my design, you have not yet decidedt. Discussions are still in … so let us wait and watch. I will take a call about once I knew that would be a better platform to display the view Before leaving here, I will show this collection in Paris.
