AC Milan director general Ariedo Braida believes there is a chance the club could sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic from Barcelona.

The Swedish striker's future at Camp Nou appears uncertain following the arrival of David Villa and speculation has suggested he might look to move on.

Ibrahimovic recently stated that he had no intention of leaving, but Milan are now considering a bid that would test Barca's resolve.

Braida accepts that it would be difficult to bring in such a player, while there are already a number of forwards at the San Siro.

However, the Rossoneri may be prepared to let somebody go to make room for Ibrahimovic and Braida is not ruling anything out.

"It's not easy to sign Ibrahimovic, but it is possible," said the official. "It doesn't just depend on us, as it also depends on Barcelona and the player."

Problem

Braida told Spanish TV channel RAC-1: "I know Ibrahimovic well and he is a great player.

"The problem is that Milan have three, four or five forwards for two or three places.

"In order to sign a new striker, we'd have to sell one. Having said that, everything is possible. Yes, this can happen."

Ibrahimovic spent three years with Milan's rivals Inter before moving to Barca last summer in a big-money deal that also saw Samuel Eto'o head in the opposite direction.
