Affable, with Marlboro Man good looks, Michael has always preferred the peace and quiet of nature rather than the clutter and drive of the city life. His every vacation has been spent in national parks, jungles and rainforests, and he's taken a number of wilderness survival classes in order to safely immerse himself in the thing he loves most, exploring nature.
Michael combined his love of the outdoors and his passion for wilderness photography to produce outstanding images of American wildlife, nature, scenic provincial parks and mountain areas that now adorn the walls of the dream home which took years to remodel.

Scott Patterson stars as Michael Buchanan, Leila's (Sarah Roemer) father, who's thrown into a global conspiracy and must go to great lengths to protect his family in NBC's new high-octane thriller The Event.
Television audiences first discovered Patterson after seeing him as Luke Danes on the critically acclaimed series "Gilmore Girls." Patterson starred on the show for seven seasons.
Born in Philadelphia and raised in New Jersey, Patterson studied comparative literature at Rutgers University. He also played professional baseball, gaining major league roster spots with the New York Yankees and the Texas Rangers.
Patterson studied acting in New York with renowned coaches Robert Lewis and Sondra Lee, and was trained at the Actors Studio by such notables as Paul Newman and Arthur Penn.
Patterson appeared on the big screen as the co-lead Agent Strahm in two installments of the wildly popular "Saw" ("V" and "IV") horror franchise. His other feature film credits include "Little Big League" with Jason Robards; "Three Wishes" with Patrick Swayze; "Rhapsody in Bloom" with Penelope Ann Miller; and "The Frankenstein Brothers" with Zelda Williams.
Patterson has appeared opposite some of the leading actresses of the small screen. He has played the love interest of such characters as Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) on "Seinfeld"; Grace (Debra Messing) on "Will & Grace"; Gwen (Sharon Lawrence) on "Fired Up"; and Jennifer Grey in "It's Like, You Know."
Patterson has voiced the character of Lieutenant Farraday on the animated series "Justice League Unlimited." His additional TV credits include the role of Gary Tolchuk in "Aliens in America," and a starring role opposite Ving Rhames in "Minkow."
In addition to acting, Patterson's passions include painting. Patterson currently resides in Los Angeles.
