Taking an in-depth look at the offensive side of the ball during the Huskers' 38-17 win over Idaho on Saturday.

NU STAR
Rex Burkhead. The sophomore I-back continues to show how valuable a weapon he can be for this NU offense. There were no touchdowns for Burkhead on Saturday, but there were plenty of explosive moments. He caught three passes for 41 yards and ran the ball nine times for 77 yards.
HIGHLIGHT
Taylor Martinez's fake was so deceptive that Roy Helu got taken to the ground by a defender, even though the senior I-back never had the football. Meanwhile, Nebraska's speedy redshirt freshman kept the ball and sprinted downfield for a 67-yard touchdown run, the longest by a Husker QB since 2001.
BUSTED PLAY
Martinez never saw Robert Siavii coming. The blitzing Vandal linebacker nailed Nebraska's starting quarterback on a third-down play inside the Vandals' 10-yard line, forcing a fumble that lineman Jonah Sataraka recovered at the 21.
OUR TAKE
Watching the Huskers on Saturday makes one wonder how lethal they could be without the mistakes. They were explosive, as shown on Roy Helu's 58-yard run and Martinez's second-quarter burst. But a second-day look at the game in the film room probably won't be entirely pleasing. NU turned the ball over four times (twice in the red zone) and committed six offensive penalties. Lots to clean up before the season's first legitimate test.
