MELBOURNE, Fla. -- Filming for the 'Transformers 3' movie has begun in Central Florida. The film's crew filmed at the Orlando airport Thursday in locations not accessible to the general public. The crew will also be filming at the Kennedy Space Station next week. NASA spokesman Allard Beutel told Florida Today the film crew scouted out dozens of sites, including the shuttle launch pads and the massive Vehicle Assembly Building. Filming has also taken place in Detroit and Chicago, where a movie extra was critically injured when an object flew through the windshield of the car the extra was inside and hit her. The sci-fi action flick stars Shia LaBeouf, Patrick Dempsey, John Malkovich and model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who replaced Megan Fox in the movie due in theaters next summer.
