Halloween for adults in the Reno / Tahoe area gives grown-up revelers a variety of a parties for tricks, treats, drinking, and general adult rowdiness at a number of over 21 venues.

Reno Zombie Crawl 2010

Saturday, October 30 - The Reno Zombie Crawl 2010 starts at 8 p.m. at Amendment 21, 425 S. Virginia St. (corner Liberty St.) in downtown Reno. For $5, you get a map and a bracelet that will gain you entry into the crawl bars, sign you up for contests, and entitle you to $3 (and sometimes cheaper!) drink specials. At 10 p.m., zombies that are still standing can join in a mass thriller dance on the streets of Reno.

13th Annual Freakers Ball at Brüka Theatre

Saturday, October 30 - The 13th Annual Freakers Ball is at Brüka Theatre in downtown Reno. The door opens at 9 p.m. for this Benefit Ball and Costume Extravaganza. This year the Freakers Ball celebrates with dance, costumes, spontaneous eruptions of art, atmosphere, a fortune teller, lunacy, raffle, no host bar and happiness galore. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Reservations are available through the box office at (775) 323-3221. Box office hours are 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday thru Friday, 12 noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets are also available at The Melting Pot, 1047 S. Virginia Street. Advance reservations for this popular event are recommended.

10th Annual Wild Erotic Ball

Friday, October 29 - The 10th Annual Wild Erotic Ball at the Silver Legacy Resort Casino in downtown Reno starts at 9 p.m. Come to the hottest Halloween party in town where the tricks and treats are endless. Don't miss your chance to show off those great costumes and compete in a Costume Contest. Dance the night away to a live DJ and party until 2 a.m. with your favorite WILD personalities. Must be 21. Tickets are $20 in advance at the Silver Legacy box office or call (775) 325-7401.

Halloween Parties at the Eldorado

Friday and Saturday, October 29-30 - Various venues inside the Eldorado Hotel Casino in downtown Reno will be having Halloween-themed entertainment and costume contests with cash prizes. For more information, call (775) 786-5700.

Halloween Party at The Freight House District in Reno

Saturday, October 30 - The Freight House District Outdoor Stage will be at the center of this Halloween bash starting at 10 p.m. Party to the music of Love Fool. The Freight House is at 250 Evans Ave. in Reno, next to Aces Ballpark.

Skin & Scare Annual Halloween Party at the Peppermill

Saturday, October 30 - This sultry Halloween party is at the Edge in the Peppermill Hotel Casino, 2707 S. Virginia Street, Reno. A total of $5,000 in prizes will be awarded for costumes; scariest, sexiest and silliest. Skin & Scare starts at 10 p.m. with a $20 cover. For VIP reservations, call (775) 232-8095.

Halloween Party at The Great Escape

Saturday, October 30 - The Great Escape will be featuring music by Decoy and special guest DJs KarlKyle, Aleks, Chy Chy, and Alex Edholm. Spooktacular Halloween Costume Contest at the Atlantis

Saturday and Sunday, October 30-31 - The costume contest is from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. each day, with winners announced on the Cabaret State nightly at 8 p.m. Categories include most original, funniest, scariest, couples, and best casino theme. The best overall costume wins $100.

32nd Annual Freakers Ball at the MontBleu in South Lake Tahoe

Saturday, October 30 - Doors open at 8 p.m. for The Freakers Ball, being held in Blu Nightclub, Opal Ultra Lounge and the Convention Center. Enjoy the World's Greatest Party Band "Pop Fiction," drink specials all night and morning long, a costume contest with over $10,000.00 in cash and prizes, go-go dancers, and body painting. The Black Catt Halloween Ball at Squaw Valley USA

Saturday, October 30 - Get your best Halloween costume together and float over to Olympic Village Lodge from 7:30 p.m. - 2 a.m. for a night of music, dancing and contests as Squaw Valley cranks up the ghoulish nightmare that is The Black Catt Halloween Ball. Featuring musical guests SOL' JIBE, DJ Silver Boombox Thief, Go Go Dancers and a raffle and costume contest. People in costume get one free drink. 21+ only. Truckee Historical Haunted Walking Tour

Thursday and Friday, October 21 & 22 - This tour is for adults 21+ only. Meet at Moody's Bistro & Lounge, 10007 Bridge St. for this walking tour of downtown Truckee's historic and spooky places. The $25 tickets include a glass of wine and a raffle. The tour is a benefit for Trails & Vistas and the Truckee Donner Historical Society.
KidZone Museum will offer childcare with Professor Stickeybottom's Halloween Science on Thursday, October 21 to children age 5+ from 5:00 p.m. till 8:30 p.m. The cost is $20 per child / $15 for additional siblings (must present ticket to the Historical Haunted Walking Tour for this rate) and $25 for families not attending the tour. Fetish & Fantasy Halloween Ball

In Las Vegas, Saturday, October 30 - If you are going to be in Las Vegas for Halloween, the Fetish & Fantasy Halloween Ball might be the adult party you're looking for. Billed as the biggest Halloween party in the U.S., it will be at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. Be sure to read the event information before deciding to attend. This looks like a wild one and not for the faint hearted or prudish.
