Decker was banned in June 1997 by the International Assn. of Athletics Foundation (IAAF) for a urine test that concluded her testosterone-epitestosterone level was above the legal ratio. She was reinstated by USA Track and Field in September '99. Decker attempted, but failed, to qualify for the 2000 Olympics.
