Children and Nature Initiative Trains Health Care Professionals to Get Kids Outside

Twenty-five pediatric health care professionals will convene this month to be trained as "nature champions" for children as part of the National Environmental Education Foundation's Children and Nature Initiative. The unique program prepares health care providers to "prescribe" outdoor activities for their patients. Each champion will train 30 of their peers to reach thousands of patients and their families around the country. Read more about this unique program.
