America’s Mayor, Rudy Giuliani, Endorses Ilario Pantano for Congress

By Staff, on Oct 28, 2010

Wilmington, NC:  The Pantano for Congress Campaign announced today that they have received the endorsement from Mayor Rudy Giuliani, the former Mayor of New York who is affectionately known as America’s Mayor.

Mayor Giuliani issued the followed statement upon endorsing Pantano:

“Ilario Pantano witnessed the terrorist attacks on 9/11, and having already fought one war for his country he felt compelled to re-join the Marines and defend his country a second time.  All of us wanted to do what we could, and many talked about it, but Ilario made bold strong decisions to put himself in harm’s way.  Time and time again, Ilario Pantano has chosen country before self and that is why I am proud to endorse him for the US Congress.”

“With our economy in peril and millions unemployed, our nation is in desperate need of brave, principled leaders who will put country first.  And once again, Ilario Pantano has answered his country’s call. In Congress, you can trust him to stand up for our conservative principles, for fiscal responsibility, for lower taxes, and a safer nation.   He won’t back down from the liberals in Washington. “

"As the son of an Italian immigrant, Ilario has lived the American dream. His roots were humble, but with hard work and dedication he has succeeded not just in the military but in the private sector as well. He understands what it takes to create jobs and move our country forward."

"Voters in North Carolina’s 7th Congressional District have a clear choice: They can vote for a 14-year Democrat incumbent who is ‘honored’ to be a part of the Pelosi leadership team that has hijacked our nation with their liberal agenda or they can vote for Ilario Pantano, a Marine veteran and former small businessman who will fight for them and for their shared values."

"The choice is clear, and I urge everyone in the 7th Congressional District to join me in supporting Ilario Pantano.  Restoring conservative control of Congress and the future of our country may hinge on your vote.”

Releases New Ad Detailing His Commitment to Protecting Social Security

Wilmington, NC: The Pantano for Congress Campaign announced today that Ilario Pantano has been awarded the Honorary Guardian of Seniors’ Rights award by the national non-partisan senior citizens’ group The 60 Plus Association.  The campaign also announced that they have released a new ad highlighting Pantano’s commitment to protect Social Security for our seniors.

Legendary entertainer Pat Boone, the national spokesperson for The 60 Plus Association, announced that Pantano is being honored with this award.   “Ilario Pantano can always be counted on to protect Social Security and Medicare,” Boone said. “Ilario Pantano will be a tax cutter, protecting the pocket books of senior citizens. 60 Plus calls on nearly 5.5 million seniors nationally for support, so I believe I can speak on behalf of seniors when I say that they can count on Ilario Pantano. Clearly, seniors will have no finer friend in Congress than Ilario Pantano.”

60-Plus “is an 18-year-old nonpartisan organization working for death tax repeal, saving Social Security, affordable prescription drugs, lowering energy costs and other issues featuring a less government, less taxes approach as well as a strict adherence to the Constitution.”  Their Guardian Award is given to Democratic and Republican members of Congress and candidates for Congress based on careful examination of their stances on issues  of critical important to our nation’s  senior citizens. The Association has nearly 5.5 million activist members nationwide.

“I am honored to receive this award,” Ilario Pantano said upon being notified by The 60 Plus Association. “The 60 Plus Association is a wonderful advocacy group and I look forward to working with them for many years.  I will always stand up for our seniors and I will always fight to protect senior citizens.  That’s why I’ve released a new ad highlighting my commitment to our seniors and pointing out how my opponent is distorting my record and trying to scare senior citizens. ”
