The Giants hit parade just keeps on coming.

Buster Posey -- catcher, linchpin, present and future of San Francisco baseball -- has won the National League Rookie of the Year Award for 2010. http://media.nbcbayarea.com/images/girlsparade.jpg

As if an unlikely World Series Championship wasn't quite enough to get under his belt during his rookie season, Posey has added to his legend with this new hardware.

Posey drew 20 first-place votes on the 32 ballots. He was called up from Triple-A in late May and hit .305 with 18 home runs and 67 RBIs for the eventual World Series champions.

American League rookie winner Naeftali Feliz set a rookie record with 40 saves in helping Texas reach the World Series for the first time. The rocket-armed righty was listed first on 20 of the 28 ballots.

Posey's the first San Francisco Giant to win the award since 1975, and the fifth SF Giant to win overall (though Willie Mays won in 1951 with the NY Giants).

There was pitcher (The Count) John Montefusco in 1975; Gary Matthews in 1973; Willie McCovey in 1959; and Orlando Cepeda in 1958.

Cool under pressure and level-headed as always, Posey kept his eyes on the prize -- even during the Championship Parade -- he wants a repeat World Series win.

Baseball experts are fawning over the potential in this rookie class. From top to bottom, outfield to mound, these young players display some amazing talent
