Let’s talk about empowerment. To me, it means having the tools and knowledge to accomplish dreams. There you have it – the prerequisite.
If you don’t have a dream, a wish for positive change, you will suffer disempowerment (but you may not notice until your hair falls out/wrinkles double).
Are your dreams all in your head, or do they drive and direct your destiny? Are they insights that make you feel good about yourself, but stop there?
Or are they ideas that will revolutionize the world?
I have dreams that live mostly inside my head. They urge me to action from time to time, but don’t define the meaning of my life. When they manifest in the real world, my half-baked dreams lead to half-baked results – and that’s with full empowerment.
Picking the right dream to found an online project on is essential. It needs to be self-sustaining: encouraging enough to make you feel literally on top of the world.
Your right dream? It’s not that idea you think might be able to make you money. It’s that idea circling your head multiple times a day, knotting up your cerebral cortex as it goes, leaving all sorts of intriguing questions in its wake.
Your right dream is waiting for you.
That pandora’s box inside your heart? Open it. That flood of emotion you feel could drown you if you would just touch it? Dive in. That hopeless cause that pierces your heart every time you tell yourself it’s a fool’s purpose? Embrace it.
It’s the fastest way to realize balanced, empowered self, and it’s your gift to the world.
And it’s a minimum requirement for guaranteed online ‘success’ (that’s a tough word to type). With anything less, the Internet will drown you. Well, that’s a tad dramatic, but you get it.
The secret of digital empowerment…
…is to be worth empowering. All the tools for visibility and communication are there – they work almost by default. The playing field of knowledge in regards to using them is level. What differentiates your success or failure is inspiration.

The reality is never as clear cut as I made it out to be above and we all struggle to define our dreams and realise them in what we do. What dream inspires your project and how does it fortify your empowerment? What limitations bother you about realising this dream through your project?
