Milton’s public school students rallied against bullying this week -- signing a giant banner and wearing special wristbands to express solidarity with the antibullying goal.
Honor students from Bentley University led the rallies, which took place Wednesday at each of the town’s six schools. The students, and Bentley psychology professor Gregory Hall, also spoke with parents the night before.
“Events such as this can only help to improve the culture of our school and the lives of our students,” said Superintendent Mary Gormley.
The Bentley students stressed the need for everyone to reject bullying. The red wristbands read: “One Goal, One Community: Moving Beyond Bullying and Empowering for Life.”
Milton schools have been working on antibullying programs all year with staff, parents, and students.
