Leicester City has today announced the loan signing of West Bromwich Albion striker, Roman Bednar.

The 27-year-old former Hearts hitman will join City until January, with the Foxes beating off a host of clubs to secure the Czech striker's services.

Bednar, who has scored 30 goals in 85 appearances for Albion, will bolster City's strikeforce and becomes manager, Sven-Goran Eriksson's fifth signing, joining fellow loanees Kyle Naughton, Curtis Davies and Greg Cunningham, along with permanent signing, Darius Vassell.


The Czech international, who cost West Brom £2.3million, plus an initial £200,000 loan fee, will be available for selection for Monday's local derby npower Championship clash against Nottingham Forest at the Walkers Stadium.

City Season Ticket Holders can still get their hands on additional tickets for the hotly anticipated match.

Already, over 1,000 additional tickets have been purchased through the Friends and Family offer as Season Ticket Holders snap tickets for the big match.

Tickets for this game are available to Season Ticket Holders friends and family from £15 for adults, £10 for under 22s, £5 for under 18s, £2 for under 12s and under 8s go free in the Marks Electrical Family stand.
