Thinking About Life Insurance

A friend of mine who just started her career–a recent college graduate, single, no children–is being sold life insurance by her new job.

Exactly the kind of thing that makes me crazy.

It’s not term, and it’s not cheap, and it’s only $50,000 of death benefit.

Folks, if you have no dependents, you don’t need life insurance; if you do need life insurance, there is a way to go that are cheaper than universal or whole–it’s called term–and whatever you get, get a higher amount than $50,000 of death benefit.

This is really not something that’s serving an employee.

Life Ins. for children is the one that drives me crazy. Your child needs an education invest in that. Not a big payday for you should a tragety occur.

Good on you for bringing attention to this, people shouldn’t be forced or conned into something as serious as this.

life insurance is such a fraud. for some reason it’s kinda popular in the states though. U would rarely hear about such a thing in my beloved EU.
