One of my favorite film this year. Every actions and ideas came from this film are smart and brilliant. Fantastic Actings and awesome costumes. Especially the masks they wear. absolutely amazing!!! Didn't really like the ending that much but i guess that was the only ending they could have. But everyone will enjoy it!! Full Price :D

Great movie very enjoyable all the way thru, one of my favor parts was when they are jumping out the van and look over and see that a police officer is sitting at the red light looking at them, man great real world reaction i thought by some one who just wanted to go home at the end of his shift.

This is one of the best movies I have seen this year. I’m not much of a Ben Affleck fan, but he did a great job here. The acting was top notch and the story had my interest from beginning to end. I agree that there were many elements borrowed from other crime movies, but Ben Affleck did a great job at combining those elements and crafting an engaging heist film. I’m also a big fan of Jeremy Renner and I really enjoyed his performance. This was definitely a Full Price movie for me.

Yeah, there are some familiar story lines in this movie, but I don't care - a good movie is a good movie, and this was pretty darn good. I do like John Hamm, but I really love Jeremy Renner in this. I think the best part of the movie is the unexpected humor, which helps keep it from becoming too bleak. Not too many people can talk shit about Ben Affleck anymore.

@brendan day - Affleck co-wrote the script for both The Town and Gone Baby Gone, but not the original story as both as based on books. Dennis Lehane wrote Gone Baby Gone and actually was the one who told Affleck about "Prince of Thieves" by Chuck Hogan on which The Town is based upon.

They werent picturing everyone in Boston to be exactly like how they were in the movie, but thats just how some ppl are who grew up in rough areas like charlestown, south boston, dorchester, and roxbury. trust me i know. " born and raised here " @ michael ross: " the town " was not set in the early 90's, and the 2 biggest and clearest reasons are: when ben took the girl home and made a joke about her owning a " PRIUS " and towards the end they were at the sox game and big papi hit a line drive...

They were kidding about the whole online banking thing...

On the online banking thing: Keep in mind that the Town is set in the early 90s, back when there were only 150 Pokemon, the president could get impeached for dropping his pants for an intern, and we thought a 56K modem was the coolest thing on the planet. THAT is why there was no online banking in Charleston. That aside, I agree with everything else that was said of this movie. It's nothing revolutionary like Inception or District 9, but it is a standard-setter: The kind of movie that anyone who wants to make a crime drama in the future will have to do BETTER THAN if they want to get away with it. Not nearly as good as Gone Baby Gone (one of my favorite movies of all time), but it was still pretty damn good. Ten bucks says those nun masks are going to be everywhere a month from now.

I wasn't sure what to think when I saw the first trailer, but I've heard a lot of positive about this one. Probably gonna check it out sometime soon.

Well, it seems like nowadays it's all about cops and robbers. I don't know. I think the formula is getting old. But I will definitely see this one.

Just got back from seeing a midnight of this, I haven't seen Gone Baby Gone yet, but since it's been getting good praise, I'm pretty amazed at what Ben Affleck could do with film making recently, so I'm definetly checking it out, as for this movie, if anyone loves a heist movie with good pacing , memorable scenes, awesome action, etc etc, you surely can't miss this

Great review. Will definitely check this one out. I laughed so hard when Cyrus said 'why do they keep building banks in it?'. Funny stuff.

Saw The Town last night. Awesome, awesome movie; it's definitely in my top 3 of 2010 so far. Ben Affleck has established himself as a top notch director as well as an excellent actor for me.

Man, who knew Benaflack could direct such good movies? Glad to hear it. I have to agree those costumes are creepy, good for maybe this Halloween. Will listen to the full audio review next. Thanks for posting!

Why is the quality on these so poor lately? The audio sounds like it's coming from a cassette. :/ The video is kind of blurry and it freezes a lot. And my internet isn't bad.

Normally it's hard to impress me with a heist film, (especially one with Mr. Affleck) but God Damn this was good. Helped to break my mold of Heat.

I've been scratching my head wondering how the hell they're going to fill ten slots for the Oscars this year, but I have no doubt here. "The Town" will definitely be in the best picture category (with Inception). And I would love to see John Hamm up for supporting. Great flick! And great reviews gents.
