The
Nashville Predators have acquired center
Dustin Boyd from the
Calgary Flames for a fourth-round pick in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Boyd, 23, was the Flames' third-round selection, 98th overall, in the 2004 Entry Draft. He's been in a scoring slump lately, posting points in only two of his past 15 games.
Boyd had 8 goals, including two game winners, and 11 assists with 15 penalty minutes and was plus-5 in 60 games this season. He has 28 goals and 57 points with 35 penalty minutes and is minus-12 in 192 NHL games. Boyd may not score much but he makes them count. He has seven game winners from his 28 career winners.
