Get your kicks at St. Nick's this weekend and Wine World grand opening tonight.

The holidays can be a time of new beginnings, new things to do, and a nice distraction from the reality show called "life".

There are two events on the radar for this week where you can do just that:
St. Nick's in Woodinville this weekend features all things wine and gifts for your holiday shopping pleasure, with a special art and one of a kind jewelry showing at Pondera Winery in the Warehouse District.
I love this wine district slightly North of downtown Woodinville. It has boutique wine
discoveries that are fun to check out.

"On December 4th and 5th the wineries of Woodinville Wine Country and the Warehouse Wine District will open their doors from 11:00am - 4:00pm for the annual St. Nicholas Day Open House .Two day passes are $50 and single day passes will be available for Saturday or Sunday as well for $40." Tickets are selling fast and there are very few left.

Something for winos to smile about:
The brand new 23,000 square foot wine shopping extravaganza Wine World opens to the public tonight. It sits in the former site of Office Max on the corner of 4th and 45th in Wallingford.
At a sneak preview last night we discovered the huge showroom with it's two 30 foot tasting counters, wine accessory merchandise, event room for private parties and meetings, and an espresso bar!

Sommelier David LeClaire the man behind the Seattle Uncorked Wine Club says he plans to carry up to 4000 items in the superstore.

He will also cater his inventory to both the wine snob or "enthusiast" and also to the person who just wants a wine to go with pizza.
To see what it's all about head to Wallingford tonight. The tastings start at six.
