Free Eclipse Mini-Readings

Friday December 3, 2010

The two big Moon events in December are in the wildcard signs of changing perception, Sagittarius and Gemini. On top of that, Uranus makes moves to electrify these mutable moments at the New Moon (the 5th) and the Full Moon (the 21st). It's a time to stay as mentally alert as possible, so you can be open to unexpected realizations that change everything.

I'll be making some notes for this weekend's New Moon in Sagittarius to post later today. This New Moon can be a very wakeful one, where fiery truths burn off the fog in your life. And then what's sensed instinctively at the New Moon, can be fully illuminated at the Full Moon.

But this is an especially life-altering Full Moon -- it's a Total Lunar Eclipse! As a gift to readers, Forum moderator Denise Dee is offering free mini-readings this weekend with a look at the Eclipse Energies in your chart. This month's eclipse engages with points first triggered by the summer eclipses. And, says Denise, " The Lunar Eclipse Energy is a powerful time for release- what do you need to let go of?"

You can find Denise by going to the Astrology forum and the folder marked Intros and Free Mini-Readings. This is a public invite, but Denise says it's only an open door for those willing to work with the energies.

Venus Scorpio: Dark Arts

Thursday December 2, 2010

Venus is our dance with life, the way we share its meaning. All month, Venus is in Scorpio, for expression of the taboo, occulted dynamics of power, buried truths, and the overtly sexual. Dark is not "bad," though it may be what we fear to know or express directly.

Maybe it's no coincidence that when Venus went into Scorpio, I started fantasizing about writing under a pen name. The prolific Libra author Anne Rice, saw herself as very 'square' living in 60s San Francisco. But all the while, she wrote erotic novels as A. N. Roquelaure.

It's also fascinating how truth can be hidden in art. And how in times of social control, there are covert ways of conveying what's happening. Venus Scorpio has a stealthy style, to express the mystery of what's occulted, in a way that flies below the radar.

In a final class with Christine Page last night, she said this is a time of "reunited with our stories, old partners, and new people that are bringing old emotions to surface." If there's energy in a story -- like we can tell it with great intensity and drama -- we've yet to lift out the wisdom, says Dr. Page. So in this dark season of introspection, what better time to work magic, by going into the heart of your stories. Either directly, or through a secret door that only you know about.

Other themes for Venus Scorpio:
  • Have a welcome home party for a part of yourself that's been in exile, or in the underworld (buried).
  • Find your own creative raw material, in personal mysteries.
  • Find expression for what's got a hold of your psyche or soul.
  • Accept your sexual nature, explore its terrain.
  • Designate a private journal (for your eyes only).

Gemini, Is This You?

Wednesday December 1, 2010

Just found some funny day in the life videos for each Zodiac sign that are entertaining....are they true in your case? So far, I've seen the Aquarius, a Day in the Life, and the Day in the Life for Gemini. I plan to watch all these short videos -- they're light-hearted and the acting is pretty good!

The Gemini gets out of both sides of the bed, has half his shirt untucked, and uses two cell phones while on the computer. "The Twins will always look busy, but that doesn't necessarily mean they get anything done."

A favorite has to be Scorpio, who has a circle of allies and a frenemy down at the pub. Check these out for a mid-week mood lift.

Mercury Capricorn: Conspiring with Earth

Tuesday November 30, 2010

Does the Earth itself speak? How can we conspire (breathe with) the Earth, to co-create an abundant and peaceful world? If we remembered how to hear these messages, how powerful would we humans be? Mercury goes into Capricorn today, and will soon retrograde in this earth sign of root-chakra matters (survival, sustenance, regeneration).

I'm thinking about the indigenous island people who survived a tsunami because they listened to the birds. We all have the innate ability to live in constant dialogue with Earth. It's a good time to restore your instinctual wisdom -- as an earthling with a right to be here and live abundantly as a creator. People with this Mercury, like James Earl Jones, have commanding voices. It's a Mercury of weighty matters, like finding the courage to push against obstacles -- or like the Mountain Goat -- climb uphill for what we want. We can deal realistically, with how things are, aware of the resistance we might face from within and without.

There's a lot of intensity, and seeing deeply into the structure of how society itself is set up. Capricorn is a collective-oriented sign, to do with traditions, social order, wealth, resources -- things we're so embedded within, we often don't even see them. But Mercury and Pluto are meeting this weekend (the 5th), for the kind of sight to see deep into the roots. The truth you discover settles in your bones, and feels like solid ground to act from.

There's great power when you're grounded and close to the Earth. It's a powerful anchor for the New Moon in visionary Sagittarius also on the 5th. Something will surely be stirred and awakened that day, with Uranus also going direct! Could be a day when discovered artifacts alter how we see ourselves and the story of Earth.

In our own lives, we might see the outline of future possibilities. Capricorn's heavy vibe reminds us that anything worth having, is worth working hard for. The New Moon offers dancing visions to hold onto, for when the going gets tough. Go into your man or woman cave and listen deeply.

Mercury's retrograde, starting the 10th of December at 5 degrees Capricorn, will add dimension to the intense questioning that's already underway. The activities of re-structuring, re-view, re-think, hits us at that "survival" level. It's a chance to reconsider ways to create security and stability, from the inside out, not the outside in.
