This photo shows: vessels solitary and in radial multiples of 2 & 3, m.t.d. 220 mc., 5 - 9 per sq. mm., in diagonal pattern; rays 7 - 8 per mm.; banded parenchyma in rows of 1 - 2.

This photo shows: rays 2 - 4 seriate; v.e.l. 300 - 400 mc. This view through the microscope also showed vessel pit alternate, but did not photograph clearly.
