Habana Works Inc. is a nonprofit organization that aims to better the community through free programs that educate, unite and engage local members. Habana Works' programs demonstrate the impact of environmentally conscious thought and action within a community. These programs use art, architecture, videography, and design as tools to engage and instill a greater understanding of the community's role in the betterment of the planet.
USBK: Urban Studio Brooklyn (USBK) provides New York City architecture students with design/build experience in an engaging and collaborative atmosphere. Taking inspiration from the success and community minded values of Samuel Mockbee's Rural Studio, USBK projects offer students an opportunity to transform environmentally minded design into fully realized physical structures within the challenging pragmatic constraints of New York City's urban context.
KIDS CORNER: Habana Works also has programs just for children. Drop by our "Kid's Corner" and give your children a chance to make new friends and have fun learning about the planet through hands-on projects and games every Saturday and Sunday from 12:00pm – 4:00pm
