The Archdiocesan Office for Youth and Young Adults will hold the 15th Annual Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) Hall of Fame Awards Dinner. The banquet raises funds for the programs of the Office for Youth and Young Adults. In addition, the banquet honors adults who reflect the virtues and values of the CYO and the Catholic Church.

The CYO supports school, parish and Church leaders in their mission to prepare youth and young adults to hear and respond to the call of Jesus Christ. Through athletics and service programs the Office for Youth and Young Adults works to draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission and work of the Catholic faith community as well as fostering the total personal and spiritual growth of each person. This year's Hall of Fame inductees are:
The Most Reverend Robert Maginnis was the youngest of four children of William and Cecilia Maginnis. While the Maginnis family lived in Maternity B.V.M. Parish, Bishop Maginnis attended St. Aloysius Academy and then St. Joseph's Preparatory School. The combination of his Catholic school experience and the influence of priests at his parish and school prompted Bishop Maginnis to consider becoming a priest. After nine years of study and preparation, Father Maginnis was ordained to the priesthood on May 13, 1961, as part of the first ordination class ordained by Archbishop John Krol. His first priestly assignment was as a parochial vicar at Our Lady Help of Christians in Abington and then at Immaculate Heart of Mary in Chester. It was in 1967 when Maginnis became the Assistant Director of the Archdiocesan Catholic Youth Organization, an assignment that, with various developments, from CYO to youth ministry, would come to occupy twenty-one years of intense and fruitful work with young people and involved adults in a host of programs. In 1981 Bishop Maginnis became director, succeeding Monsignor Francis X. Schmidt with whom he had worked in close association for fourteen years. On April 24, 1982, Father Maginnis was named an Honorary Prelate to His Holiness, Pope John Paul II. During his years at the Office for Youth and Young Adults, Bishop was appointed Administrator of St. Alphonsus Parish in Maple Glen, becoming Pastor in 1988. In 1991, he was named regional vicar for Montgomery County, a position he held until 1996, when he was ordained a bishop and auxiliary for Philadelphia. In accepting his appointment as Auxiliary Bishop to Cardinal Bevilacqua, Bishop Maginnis said, "And so now I ask for the prayers of all the people of this local Church, that I may preach the message of Our Lord Jesus Christ, and with great devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, serve His Eminence and this Archdiocese, to the best of my ability."

Linus McGinty was the only child born to Mary and Francis Linus McGinty in 1946. Most of his childhood days were spent in St. Barnabas Parish where he was first experienced the CYO. After graduating from West Catholic in 1964, Linus headed to LaSalle College for one year before enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served in the Intelligence Division in Vietnam, rising to rank of Sergeant. He was Honorably Discharged in 1968. Linus went on to attend evening and day divisions at St. Joseph's University, where he graduated from in 1971. He continued his education at West Chester University, earning his Master's Degree in Guidance and Counseling. Linus first began his career as an educator and a coach at Our Lady of the Rosary School in West Philadelphia from 1971 to 1975. In 1976, Linus moved on to teach and coach at the High School level at Archbishop Carroll and then Cardinal O'Hara. Linus' career as the head coach of Cardinal O'Hara Girl's basketball team began in 1995. Under Linus McGinty's direction, the girls' basketball team appeared in the Catholic League finals 13 out of the last 14 seasons. Coach McGinty has led his teams to win 8 Catholic League Championships and holds a current high school coaching record of 599 -104. Currently, his team is ranked 15th in ESPN's High Elite 25 High School Girls Ranking. Linus and his wife Diane have been married 35 years and have two sons, Linus Michael and Patrick.

Both individually and as a team, David and Kimberly Savage have been dynamic leaders in the Church of Philadelphia. While enjoying a sixteen-year career in direct response television as the Executive Vice President/Managing Partner of Respond2 Communications, David Savage has helped start three influential Catholic lay movements. He co-founded the longest running young adult ministry in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia: the young adult group of St. Katharine's and St. Isaac's (YASKI). David is also a founding board member of both the Catholic Leadership Institute and the Theology of the Body Institute, a non-profit apostolate dedicated to spreading the good news of Pope John Paul II's teaching on human sexuality. Additionally, David serves as the Program Chair for Philadelphia's Legatus Chapter. After a highly successful career at Timmons & Company, an industrial marketing, advertising and public relations firm, Kimberly Savage left the lucrative for-profit world to serve as the founding Executive Director of Generation Life, a movement dedicated to spreading the pro-life and chastity messages to young people throughout the area. Generation Life reaches thousands of elementary and high school students each year and has been instrumental in helping many mothers choose life over abortion. She now serves as President of the organization's Board of Directors. The couple met through their mutual work for the Church and were married in 2005. David and Kimberly currently live in St. Katharine of Sienna Parish in Wayne and are the proud parents of Connor James, age 2 and John Samuel, 10 months.
