Save-GA
Welcome to Save-GA!  The web resource for getting the TRUTH about General Aviation out to the American Public.
Save-GA is a website established to facilitate FACT based communication between the General Aviation community and the General Public.
Many of you have heard the recent, so called 'news' on the television, on the radio and in newspapers concerning General Aviation.  Stories like the 17 Sept 2009 USA Today piece that ran under the title of "Little-used AIRPORTS cost taxpayers BIG MONEY", and written by USA Today reporter Thomas Frank.  You may have heard Mr. Frank interviewed on NPR's "All Things Considered", or seen the TODAY show piece on 17 Sept 2009 that was run as a companion to the USA Today article.  If you've read, heard, or seen any of these or similar articles, and you're a member of the General Aviation community, then you're probably pretty mad.  I know I was, and that's why this web site exists.  I'll be adding to this site as I can, and hope to make it a resource to coordinate the actions of the GA community, and by doing so, provide a unified front with the resources to assemble and distribute the truth about GA to the American public through the same mass media outlets that have been systematically destroying our industry for the past year.
Save-GA has been created to provide a clearinghouse for FACTS and a forum for discussion, organization and action on behalf of the General Aviation community of the United States.  General Aviation is now facing some of the greatest challenges in it's history.  Join in the fight to save this vital American resource.

There are 1.3 million people in this country working in the GA sector and 600,000 pilots.  We all need to join together to help protect our nations best interests by ensuring the safety and continuity of General Aviation.
