Take Your Holiday Photos at the Museum

Monday, December 20

The American Museum of Natural History has a special gift for visitors this holiday season. If you haven’t yet sent out your holiday cards, it’s not too late. Why not take a free family photograph at the Museum?

Look for signs at seven festive spots around the Museum — including winter scenes in the world-class dioramas and Museum icons likeĀ Tyrannosaurus rex — that make the perfect backdrop for a holiday photo. Once you’ve taken your photo, visitĀ amnh.org/cards to choose from a selection of holiday frames and email your season’s greetings and wishes for a happy new year to family and friends.

Keep an eye out for these locations on your next visit:

Origami Holiday Tree on the first floor

Tyrannosaurus rex in the Hall of Saurischian Dinosaurs

Easter Island statue in the Margaret Mead Hall of Pacific Peoples

Penguin diorama in the Hall of Birds of the World

Mountain Goat diorama in the Hall of North American Mammals

Aztec calendar in the Hall of Mexico and Central America

Diorama of making maple syrup in the Hall of North American Forests

Happy holidays!
