William G. Wade, Founder, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors
Bill is the founder and organizing executive of Company.com, an information and lead generation services portal for SMB's which is currently under development. Prior to Company.com, Bill served as Vice Chairman of Sage Payment Solutions, a division of Sage Software plc, Newcastle U.K. Bill was President of Sage Payment Solutions from February 2006 until January 2008 prior to his promotion to Vice Chairman in 2008. Prior to the acquisition of Verus Financial Management by Sage Software, Bill served as EVP (President effective 2005), corporate secretary and board member for Verus Financial Management, Inc. Verus and its subsidiary operations processed in excess of $8 billion in transaction settlement activity annually prior to the acquisition by Sage Software for $325,000,000 in cash. Bill merged Network 1 Financial as the platform company for Verus's operations and also served as Chairman and CEO of Network 1 Financial, a payment processing company he founded in 1989. Bill assisted in raising in excess of $85,000,000 in venture capital and debt financial between 2000 and 2006 for Network 1 and Verus Financial Management prior to the sale of Verus. Bill spearheaded the Verus negotiations with Sage Software leading to the company's acquisition by Sage in February 2006.
James Edwards, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Edwards joined Company.com in April 2009. Before joining Company.com, he had been CFO of Verus Financial Management (Verus) since June 2002. Verus provided payment services to over 100,000 small to mid-size merchants. In January 2006, Sage Software acquired Verus. Prior to joining Verus, Mr. Edwards was CFO of ValuBond as well as Talus solutions, which was acquired by Manugistics in 2000. Mr. Edwards graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1977 and is also a Certified Public Accountant.Peter Adams, EVP Product
Prior to joining Company.com as EVP of Product, Peter was President of Matchpoint.com - A local business search engine that helps consumers and businesses find the right match when it comes to locating or hiring a vendor to work with. Before founding Matchpoint, Peter served as Chief Product and Technology Officer for number of Internet search and marketing companies such as Connexus, Looksmart (NASD: LOOK), and Internet ad agency pioneer Poppe Tyson. Widely recognized as a leading authority on Internet search and marketing, Peter speaks regularly at industry trade conferences, has contributed articles to publications such as Adotas, DM News, Businessweek.com, ADWEEK and maintains an active weblog of his own.
Kevin Sasser, Vice President
Mr. Sasser is responsible for developing and managing the revenue associated with Company.com's vendor networks and strategic partners. Prior to Company.com, he served as Senior Vice President with Goldleaf Financial Solutions, Inc. Sasser and has led sales efforts in the areas of enterprise content, document, and knowledge management solutions, where his teams consistently ranked in the top 5% in sales performance. Mr. Sasser is a seasoned professional speaker and published author most noted for his works on sales strategies, presentation tactics, and sales closing techniques.
