Get A PC Ads
I REPEAT: I got nothing against Apple! The last thing I would want to happen is create sides of different computer users and watch a war start over it. Just like Cat the Mac-lover said, "life is too short to buy into their con." Everyone makes a choice from the number of available operating systems and my personal choice is Ubuntu Linux! But I'm not going to tell you anything about it. Just watch these new spoof videos from Paul the Mac-hater.
There are numerous web hosting companies that offer a multiplicity of web templates. You can use these templates whether you are running an internet home based business or intend to run an affiliate marketing program. The 70-270 certification exam measures your aptitude to apply, direct, and troubleshoot information systems that integrate Microsoft Windows XP Professional.

I guess this is what it would be like if Microsoft had a take on those ads.
Just to clearify, I am not the author of these videos, but I am a huge fan.
Biftar on youtube was the one who uploaded them. Ilker, thanks for the link.
Thanks for showing these. That amused me :)
xDDDDD
You made my day for sure!!
Is good to know the two versions of the story... always.
Paul thanks for letting me know. Apparently he uploaded a fourth video: Get a PC - Music.
Here is a recent post I found on another blog:
Sister Judith, the director of the Vatican website, said "We don’t know what OS God uses, but we use Linux." =)
Very Funny! Is it just me, or does the smarmy weasel in the actual Apple
commercials turn you off from the product?
Fun. Definitely worth a few minutes on a Friday afternoon.
And it reminds me that the new Mac ad comes across as an indirect endorsement for microsoft Windows vista. Strange.
I wish people would just lay off the Mac.
It's a computer, it works different than the PC but it does the same thing (I have a PC, the gf has a mac.)
Whopper versus quarter pounder, coke versus pepsi, mac vs PC...It's the same argument.
You know what, I thought you using Mac :)
Oh, wait: I LOVE PC too... (innocent face)
Nope .. I ... can't ... I ... won't ... look ... AWK!
Oh no. OH NO! I <3 my mac. But it's okay I guess, once upon a time I loved my pc as well...
Glad you posted these. They made me laugh out loud enough to scare my dogs. I have worked on both mac and pc. I like them both, but own a pc.
so true, so very true
I am glad someone finally made these commercials from the PC perspective, but I think they could have been done a bit better. The flaws in the Mac aren't really highlighted here.
As someone who works on both PC's and Macs (I'm a corporate graphic designer), I think these are funny, but don't say anything good or bad about either product. You get more accurate color on a Mac and the OS is more stable; you have more choices on a PC and faster drivers.
Finally some genuinely clever parodies. And sadly accurate in a lot of ways, too. I love it.
As for Brian's Whopper vs. Quarter Pounder, Coke vs. Pepsi, etc. analogy, that just doesn't jive. The two machines do, in the end, have very different abilities, and although you can technically get one to do the other's tasks, it's just too much effort.
I'm in the IT world handling network support. Occasionally our clients have an employee or two with a Mac. The hoops we have to jump through to get them to be able to work with the overall network are not fun, and they still can't do a quarter of what their PC counterparts on the same network can.
On the flip side the best creative tools tend to be on the Mac primarily, although I really haven't seen anything for a while that's Mac exclusive that there isn't a good alternative for on the PC. But those industries are just more used to Macs. Also the hardware availability and compatibility is night and day between the two.
Point is, last time I brought home Burger King instead of McDonald's the same mustard and ketchup worked fine on the burger, my napkins were fully compatible, and I received no error messages when I attempted to enjoy it with the potato chips I got out of my pantry that I usually eat with McDonald's.
Choosing between a Mac and a PC is not like choosing between two flavors of the same thing, and typically one will cut you off from a large number of things available only on the other. I went with the one that closes me in the least, and I still haven't been disappointed.
I've been using Windows since version 3.0 and currently use WinXP Pro, Win2k Server, Win2k Pro, OS X Tiger & Panther. I do graphic design, web development (programming & database), systems architecture, lots of Word/Excel/Powerpoint and occasionally Access stuff, digital audio recording and some video stuff.
I can do exactly the same things on both platforms using mostly the same apps (Adobe Suite, CorelDraw [Windows], MS Office, OpenOffice and various differing support utilities).
If I had to pick only one, it would be the Mac hands down because it is MUCH more stable and out performs Windows BIG TIME on comparable hardware. This is because OS X is based on a UNIX core and it only takes 7 CPU cycles to process a command to Windows 20 CPU cycles for a comparable command. Also, the Mac doesn't need to run resource hogging AV software because there are no viruses for Mac.
Does my Mac ever crash? It has a couple of times when I had WAY too many apps open at once and it did one other time when the logic board failed. But, that's a hardware thing. My Windows computers crash almost daily with fewer apps running than I *normally* run on my Mac.
As for the ads... I HATE/LOATH/DISPISE the Mac commercials. They're totally STUPID (true as they may be) and they only add to my perception that many mac users are freakin snobs when it comes to computers and life in general.
I must say that I also hate these particular spoofs.... they don't seem to make any kind of point.
The best spoofs are the ones on YouTube that also have a Linux Guy. They're just downright funny.
Will anyone here find value in my comments? Doubtful... let the Mac-Bashing/Your-A-Traitor storm begin!!! :D
Those are brilliant - they're just as funny as the UK Mac adverts
