Video: David Rose and Vicki Davis talk tech in schools

If you missed Wednesday's phenomenal Expert Talk with David Rose of the Center for Applied Special Technology (CAST) and Vicki Davis (a.k.a. Cool Cat Teacher), you can breath a sigh of relief now. Because... we have the whole webcasted conversation available to you now on replay!

What was my big takeaway?

The idea of "passion-based learning." That, in some ways, without passion there can be no real learning. 1) Allowing students to pursue their passions leads to engagement and expertise. And 2) Allowing teachers to follow their passions leads to more human teachers.

David Rose said this: Technology has taken away the need for him to be an "information dispenser," and let's him focus on "passion-building." Wow!

Vicki Davis blogged about her thoughts on the conversation earlier today. And here are all the tweets from the #experttalks event too.

What were your takeaways?
