Town Offices & Library Closed – January 17
Town offices will be closed on Monday, January 17 for the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. The Mooresville Public Library will also be closed in observance of the holiday.
Golf Course Closed
The Mooresville Golf Course is closed due to snow and ice. Golfers can call 704-663-2539 or visit www.mooresvillegolfcourse.com for re-opening updates.
RAD-Basic, February 19 & 20
The Mooresville Police Department is offering Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) training for women in our community at no charge. The next RAD session will be held Saturday, February 19 and Sunday, February 20 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Charles Mack Citizen Center in Downtown Mooresville.
Traffic Pattern Changes
The Town’s Public Works/Street Division will install a temporary curb on Bluefield Road at the access points to Magnolia Crossing (Bloom Grocery Store) and Winslow Bay Shopping Center (Target, Michaels, etc.) beginning the week of January 10, weather permitting.
Town Manager Resigns
The Town Board of Commissioners accepted the resignation of Town Manager Steve Husemann, effective January 9, 2011, and appointed Assistant Town Manager Erskine Smith to serve as Interim Town Manager.
