Working On Music Again

Dec. × ’10

Title’s pretty self-explanatory. If you want to hear what I am doing right now, I’d love to show it to you, even though it’s still rough. Just comment/send me an email and I will send you a link.

Having 1 year left of school is putting things a bit more into perspective as far as what I want to be doing with my life afterward. Chunks of me, and I mean HUGE chunks of me, have felt like college was a waste of time and that my energies were all being applied toward the wrong thing(s) – and one of the things I consistently come back to is that life is a process, and the process matters more than the end result.

On top of this, I am a person who is made up pretty intrinsically of dreams, large and small. I have asked myself, “where can I work with music, people, writing and images in such a way that I don’t have to forsake any of them entirely?” To give up one for the other is a heart-sickening thought for me, because all of my hobbies/passions are tied deeply into who I am.

…so I don’t know entirely where I will end up, but while finishing up my Printmaking degree, I’m hoping to get into the realm of filmmaking. Music and people and writing and images are huge aspects of making movies…so I am excited about this, though I’m not sure where to even begin.

This definitely started about one thing and ended about another, but that is ok with me. I am starving. It’s late. G’night.

Site Redesign Soon

Dec. × ’10

I can’t make any promises as to when this will be, but I’ve grown unhappy with the visual face of this website, and as such am hoping to redesign it from the ground up. Probably will start around the beginning of January.

Also, I just wasted your time. So there!

Limbs & Branches

Nov. × ’10

Not too long ago, Jon Foreman, the frontman for Switchfoot, came out with a series of solo albums for each season. The best songs from each ended up on a separate album called “Limbs & Branches”, and it is pretty excellent. Here is one of the songs from that album:

Your Love Is Strong
