Need some help?

Our F.A.Q. is intended to handle most basic support questions regarding the internet stream. Please ensure you have reviewed the F.A.Q. and reviewed our support policy before contacting us for support.

System Requirements

Our web stream is delivered using the best available streaming technology, designed to reach the maximum number of listeners. Therefore; it is best heard on a computer running Internet Explorer 5.5 or newer and Adobe Flash Player 9 or newer running on Microsoft Windows (XP SP2 or Vista). Here are links for customers needing to upgrade:

Technical Questions:

Q: Can the stream be heard with operating systems other than Windows?
A: Customers running OS X will be able to hear the stream. Click here for more information. Other Operating Systems like Solaris, Linux, FreeBSD etc. are not supported.

Q: Can a browser other than Internet Explorer be used to listen?
A: What you see and hear depends on on how the other browser is configured. FireFox 1.5, Netscape 8.1, and Opera 9 (and higher versions of each) running on Windows can be configured to take full advantage of the player. Safari and FireFox 1.5 on the Macintosh will also play well through the player. See Browser Support for more information.

Q: When the listen link is clicked, it tries to open, but there is a message that says pop-up blocked.
A: Disable pop-up blocking in the browser or pop-up blocking tool. Some browsers and pop-up blockers offer a way to temporarily allow pop-ups or completely disable pop-up blocking for a specific site. Here are links to help pages for the more popular tools:

Q: The player loads, but no audio is heard.
A: There may be a slight delay of a few seconds in loading audio data when the player first loads. Usually you will see a message scroll across the player that reads "Connection in Progress." If the silence persists, check that your volume controls are set correctly and report the problem by using the "?" button on the player. It may be caused by an interruption in the stream, rather than a problem with your player.

Q. The player loads and audio is heard. However, things like title and artist are missing.
A: For music formatted stations, if bandwidth is limited, extra data such as artist and title information may be foregone so that audio can still be delivered. However, it is usual for News, Talk, or Sports formatted stations to not list artist and title data at all. If neither of these apply, see the Browser Support section below and/or the browser's documentation.

Q. When the listen link is clicked it shows a page cannot be found error.
A: Try refreshing or clicking on the link again. If the error persists, and you are using one of the supported browsers, please contact us.

Q. When the listen link is clicked in Opera 7, it shows a page cannot be found error.
A: While the Opera browser is not supported at this time, it has been reported to work at version 9 and above. If you are using a lower version and it does not operate properly, please upgrade to version 9, or use Internet Explorer or one of the other supported browsers.

Browser Support Questions:

Q: Does the stream work with Internet Explorer 7?
A: Yes, there are no known issues with IE7.

Q: Does the stream work with Mozilla FireFox 1.5x on Windows?

Q: Does the stream work with Mozilla FireFox 2.0?
A: Yes, there are no known issues with Firefox 2.0 on Windows or Mac, as long as Adobe Flash is installed.

Q: Does the stream work with Netscape Navigator?
A: The minimum version is Netscape Navigator 8.1 with Adobe Flash installed. For help with site controls go to Netscape Site Control Help.

Q: Can I listen to the stream without a web browser?

Q: Does the stream work with Linux systems?
A: Customers running FireFox for Linux who also have Adobe Flash installed may be able to hear the stream.

Q: Can I listen to the stream on my mobile browser?
A: Mobile support for the stream does not yet exist, but we are hard at work on that.
