Dead Man's Bones add Saturday show, roll over in graves

July 1, 2010 | 11:18 am

Dmb Did you not get your fill of cotton candy, black magick puppetry and zombified noir-rock last weekend? Dead Man's Bones heard your wraithful sighs.

Ryan Gosling and Zach Shields' grimly whimsical project rarely plays around L.A., but after a very well received and sold-out stand at the Eagle Rock Center for the Arts last weekend -- which featured a melange of theatrics, magicians and bouncy castles alongside their archly spooky vintage rock -- the duo will reprise it this Saturday at 8 p.m. with their ghoulish cohorts in the Silver Lake Conservatory Children's Choir.

Whose yearning wails will be more uncanny  -- those of the undead creatures in the band's "ghost-monster love story musical," or those of Gosling and Shields' rapturous young fans
