The Life and Times of AdMob

RIM has launched a couple new devices recently – the Bold on AT&T, the Flip on T-Mobile, and the Storm on Verizon.  I thought it would be interesting to take a look at how each of the new devices are doing.  Below is a chart showing the mix of requests AdMob receives from the different BlackBerry models on each operator in the US.

Not surprisingly, the data shows the Pearl and Curve make up a majority of mobile Web requests from Blackberry devices.  Of the three new devices, the Storm has made a much bigger impact on Verizon and is already responsible for 16 percent of all BlackBerry mobile Web requests.

4 percent of AT&T’s RIM traffic comes from the Bold, and only 2 percent of T-Mobiles RIM traffic comes from the Flip.  In fact over the same time period, the G1 generated 20 times more requests than the Flip on T-Mobile.

We’ll see how it plays out in the upcoming months.
