Welcome to Quilts by Rosemary. I hope you will enjoy looking at my gallery of books and patterns and that you will return often to see what's new.

I’m extremely thankful to all of you great quilters who purchase my patterns and books; as well as invite me to give workshops and lectures to your guilds and quilting groups.

I love to see the photos of your quilts made from my patterns and books and hear their stories. It's been a pleasure to share these photos and stories on my Blog. Your encouraging comments help inspire me to continue in my pattern designing. I feel very lucky and grateful to be able to work at something I truly love to do.

Thank you all for your support.

Angel of Love and Friendship

Angel of Love and Friendship

My most recent pattern is the Angel of Love and Frienship. Instructions are given for an easy fusible method of satin stitch appliqué but any other appliqué method may be used if you prefer. It is machine quilted and a lovely feather quilting pattern is included for the borders. The size is 29 inches by 34 inches.

I hope you will enjoy watching the three videos shown below.

Conversation with Jacqui Video

The first of the three videos shown here, this was part of a series of interviews about the Quilts in the Gardens show. Jacqui is a well known local actress and drama teacher and was very adept at obtaining interesting information.

My students and I founded the guild in 1977. It has been a great pleasure for me to see the guild grow both in numbers and in quilting expertise over the years. Our quilt show is held every other year and has the reputation of being one of the best shows in Ontario.

The Quilt Dance Video

A musical presentation by young dancers of the Burlington Academy of Film and Performing Arts was part of the Opening Ceremony at our quilt show gala evening. I was honoured to be chosen as one of the “stars” of the evening and to have some of my quilts showcased as part of this event.

Interview with The Spectator Video

One event leads to another it seems! Rosie Grover from the Hamilton Spectator recently came to my home to see some of my quilts and to hear their stories. It was a delightful experience as talking about my quilts is one of my most favourite things to do. I hope you will enjoy hearing about them.
