Across the globe, thousands of Australians are taking shelter against a massive cyclone that experts say could be the most life-threatening storm in the country's history.
Tropical Cyclone Yasi, now a Category 5 storm, is forecasted to bring wind gusts reaching about 185 mph through the northeastern Queensland coast. Over 400,000 people living in the region are expected to be exposed to the system's 370-mile front.
