Median home prices in Massachusetts jumped 3.5 percent last year compared to 2009 as the market stabilized, with single-family home sales in 2010 down less than 1 percent from the previous year.
On a year-over-year basis, some towns and cities fared better than others. What follows is a look at 10 communities that saw the largest percentage increases in median home prices from 2009 to 2010, as well as 10 communities with the largest percentage decline. Only towns and cities with a minimum of 40 sales in 2010 were included.
