Actors Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra are back together after a gap of five years since
Krrish for the remake of Amitabh Bachchan's
Agneepath.
Hrithik will be playing the lead character of Vijay Dinanath Chavan, a name that acquired a great deal of fame due to Amitabh
Bachchan's dialogue delivery. The film will be directed by Karan Malhotra while the production will be done by Karan Johar's Dharma Production
Malhotra apparently found Priyanka apt for the female lead, Chavan's nurse-girlfriend which was played by Madhavi in the earlier film. He approached her with the script and "Priyanka said yes in a blink," a source told the Mumbai Mirror, adding that the two compliment each other on screen.
According to the source, there will be minor changes in the script to make it modern and fitting in the current context but the main plot and the dialogues will stay the same. However, the character played by Mithun Chakraborty in the original has been done away with completely. Incidentally, the earlier film was produced by Yash Johar.
So, let's see if Hrithik is able to recreate the magic of Big B as Vijay Dinanath Chavan.
