UPDATE: EU Parliament Robbery

The investigation into last week's daylight robberyat the European Parliament is "coming along," says a Parliament official. "We were able to reconstruct what happened" with CCTV and witness reports, he says. There were two thieves, only one of whom was packing heat.

Security staff held a meeting on Monday. No extra security measures have been taken yet. "We're focusing on fully implementing the measures we already have in place," says the official. (Real-Time Brussels was reporting from the Parliament on Tuesday and can confirm that metal-detector lines were longer.)  "But we're already further along than in the other robberies in the last two years."
