Where will crude oil prices be by April 2011?
The price of crude oil closed above $90 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange just before Christmas for the first since October 2008 and has held above that mark in the days after the Christmas holiday break. Will it hold or even rise further before the end of the first quarter of 2011?

The bid-up in Commodity-Crude prices is just a continuation of Wall Streets "Bubble Economics." As long as the big banks have all the cash and open access to the Federal Reserve -without controls, the two-hundred ninety-nine million people remaining will be paying inflated, exorbitant gas prices!

Pretty Basic stuff here - Economics 101 - increasing demand (recovering world econimies) while limiting supply (Obama attempting to kill the US drilling industry) = much higher prices - get long oil and short Obama

Eh... I don't know. Simple supply and demand? I think that's part of it, but on the supply side... I don't think the United States needs to drill to keep prices down. I think there are other factors at work, including a weak dollar and an expanding world economy. Sure... it would be nice to see the US drill.

The economic reactivation will push the crude oil prices up because during the last years our government didn’t at least take one positive initiative to increase the normal production. If in this gloomy economic environment of today the barrel is over $90, any small demand will increase the barrel price. Basic economy! Domingo A. Trassens

The suggestion that this is street speculation is nonsense. This is a devaluation of the dollar. Oil demand is strong worldwide. Supply is supressed by government actions in the Gulf of Mexico and elsewhere. The oil supply problem has been and underinvestment problem for 30 years.
