EGYPT: Generals support handover to Vice President Omar Suleiman
Egypt's military leaders are planning to support what they expect to be the handover of power by President Hosni Mubarak to Vice President Omar Suleiman, the Al Arabiya satellite network reported Thursday.
The network reported that Egyptian generals plan to support the handover to Suleiman, a 74-year-old former intelligence chief who has maintained a good relationship with Washington and Israel.
Mubarak would announce constitutional procedures before handing over powers, Al Arabiya said. If protesters reject the plan, the military would take action, the network reported, citing unspecified sources. The report did not elaborate on what type of action the military would take.

The revolution will not be complete until Suleiman leaves as well.
Suleiman is Israel's choice. That's according to Israel per the leaked Wikileaks cables. Why? Suleiman is Egypt's spy chief. He is a cruel and barbaric right-wing torturer who has personally participated in the torture and execution of political disidents in Egypt.
Suleiman represents a continuation of Mubarak's rule and policies. He will never allow freedom to come to Egypt.
Under the current Egyptian constitution, only candidates approved by the Egyptian Parliament can run for president. And the National Democratic Party – Mubarak's right-wing party – has a massive majority in Parliament.
That's why the protesters are demanding the departure of the entire *regime*. They understand that a promise for "free" elections under the current constitution – or even under a constitution "reformed" by a committee appointed by Mubarak or Suleiman – is nothing but a trick and charade.
Nothing will change in Egypt until the entire regime leaves ... including Suleiman.
